apeg.dev is a personal site. It does not sell anything, does not run advertising, and does not have user accounts.
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages people read. That records things like the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, your browser and device type, and how you arrived. It does not record your name, your email address, or anything you type.
Nothing else on the site collects data. There are no advertising trackers, no marketing pixels, and no third-party embeds beyond Google Fonts, which serves the typeface.
To know whether the writing is useful and which subjects are worth continuing. That is the whole reason.
If you write to parun@apeg.dev, that message is kept so the conversation can continue. It is not added to any mailing list and it is not shared.
Any browser-level tracking blocker will stop the analytics entirely, and the site works exactly the same with it blocked. You can also use Google’s opt-out add-on.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests in order to deliver the page and may keep short-lived security logs.
Write to parun@apeg.dev and ask.
